Under cool 61-degree skies and ideal running conditions, the Hornet runners Zidane Ras and Jonathan Mendoza delivered their best performances of the season last Saturday morning at the 3C2A State Championship meet at Woodward Park.

The Hornets closed out a strong 2025 campaign with a heart-filled performance at the Southern California Regional Championships held at NTC Park in San Diego last Friday morning.

The FC women’s cross country team put together a strong performance at the Orange Empire Conference Championships last Friday at Saddleback College finishing fourth overall with 81 points.

Running in the Mt. SAC Invitational last Friday, sophomore Brittany Rodriguez delivered a personal-record performance finishing 11th overall out of 65 runners with a time of 20:06.

The FC women’s cross country team turned in a solid performance at the SoCal Preview in San Diego on Friday competing against a deep field of 181 runners.

The Hornets are off to a great start with their season and showing that their summer-training miles are paying off after competing in their first two races this season.

On Saturday, the Hornets traveled to Fresno, California for the 3C2A State Cross Country Championships to compete at the traditional Woodward Park and represented well.

Haily Roberts along with the FC men's team qualified for the State Championship race with a 15th place finish at the Southern California Regional Championships last Friday at Chaffey College.

The Orange Empire Conference Championships took place at Central Park in Huntington Beach last Friday with both the FC men and women's teams showing out.

After a good showing at the Manny Bautista Invite last week, the No. 15 in SoCal Hornets achieved solid times on the Mt. SAC course. For some of the FC runners, it was their first time running the flat, climbing switch backs, and taking on a rolling reservoir hill to the finish line- not an easy task for any athlete.

The Hornets got a sneak peek at the top competition at the SoCal Preview hosted by Chaffey College placing 15th overall out of 21 teams.

The FC women's cross country team is off to a great start after placing 3rd overall at the XC Kickoff hosted by Cuyamaca College.
