HORNETS COMPETE AT THE GWC INVITATIONAL

The Hornets finished in 11th place at the GW Classic Invitational at Central Park, Huntington Beach last Friday morning. 

 

It was a good meet for the FC runners to preview their OEC conference championships course that will be run in November. The course itself consists of a grass start and finishes with a tough hill in the middle of it around the lake. This was the biggest invitational for host Golden West College with 141 women runners. Heading into the meet, the Hornets were ranked 15^th in SoCal competition.

 

Haily Roberts and Ariana Rodriguez were top 30 runners for the race running within 14 seconds of each other. Sheccid Maldonado and Daisy Silva were 40 seconds apart keeping each other in site. Michelle Garcia finished out the fifth spot for Fullerton running within 7 seconds of her best race. The theme for this group is that they have their teammate to run with and to be visible to each other.
