WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: SOLID START
The Hornets got the season started on Wednesday hosting Cerritos and Citrus Colleges for a three-way tourney. FC whipped though the competition winning both games 3-0.

The Hornets got the season started on Wednesday hosting Cerritos and Citrus Colleges for a three-way tourney. FC whipped though the competition winning both games 3-0.
In the first game against Cerritos College, the Hornets beat the Falcons 25-18, 25-12, 25-17. After a realtivley close first game, FC took over the match in game two going up 13-1 over the Falcons. Andrea Lopez had 8 kills and was followed by Lauren Schaefer and Kaylyn Johnson who both had 7. Rebecca Hicks had 5 kills with 2 block assists. Maya Maldonado contributed 5 digs and Kailyn Case chipped in with 32 assists.
The Hornets faced off against Citrus College in the day's second game knocking off the Owls 26-24, 25-21, 25-18. Lauren Schaefer had a big game knocking down 14 kills. Andrea Lopez contributed 8 and Rebecca Hicks had 6. Hicks and Catherine Serna both had 2 block assists. Kailyn Case had another good game with 32 assists.
Up Next: Fullerton (2-0 overall) will hit the road for their next two matches. On Friday, they will play at Rio Hondo College (6:00 pm start), and then head south to Palomar College on Wednesday, September 6th. Game time is at 6:00 pm.
