STOTMORE & ESPINDA EARN ALL-ORANGE EMPIRE CONFERENCE HONORS
Fullerton College women’s volleyball closed out the season with two standout Hornets earning All-Orange Empire Conference as sophomore Bri Stotmore was named 1st Team All-OEC and freshman Ayva Espinda earned 2nd Team All-OEC honors.
A consistent force the last two seasons, Bri Stotmore proved to be the heartbeat of Fullerton's lineup. An outside hitter, she delivered one of the most productive seasons in the conference, finishing with a team-high160 kills (3.27 kills per set), 135 digs, had 28 aces, and 11 total blocks. Bri was just as impactful her freshman season leading the Hornets in kills with 163, while racking up 126 digs, 10 aces, and 7 assists.
First-year middle/opposite Ayva Espinda made an immediate impression in her debut collegiate season, earning 2nd Team All-OEC recognition after knocking down 49 kills, had 33 digs, 11 blocks, and 12 aces. For a freshman to crack the all-conference list in the competitive OEC is no small feat. The future is bright with Ayva in the FC lineup next season.
Congrats Bri and Ayva!
