CLEAN SWEEP OVER HAWKS

The Hornets pulled off a 3-0 sweep at Santiago Canyon on Wednesday night in an Orange Conference match. 

The first set was a struggle for the Hornets, who finally finished it off with a 27-25 win. FC went into the second and third sets feeling more confident and finished off the match 25-18 and 25-16. 

Mareta Poe was the team leader in kills with 11. She also added 6 digs and a block. Jade McIntyre had a strong game with 10 kills and 2 blocks. Camille Castillo also played a significant role in the win with 9 kills and 4 digs. Kori Burke brought down 8 kills and Kaiya Owens had 3. Dishing out 22 assists was Anne Mayfield, who also had a kill and 4 digs. Amelia Hahs had 15 assists along with 2 digs, while Samantha Martinez helped with a game-high 4 aces and 7 digs.
