The Hornets suffered their first loss on the season, after a fantastic 10-0 run, at Golden West College Wednesday night 3-0 (21-25, 22-25, 18, 25).
The match was an Orange Empire Conference showdown between two of the top teams in the state, the #4 Hornets and the #2 Rustlers.
With the loss, Fullerton now owns an overall record of 10-1 and a conference record of 3-1. GWC's win gives them a record of 10-0 and 4-0 in conference.
Madalene Barrett had 12 kills with 8 digs for the Hornets. Briana Cervantes had 6 kills, Celeste Snider contributed 11 digs, and Kristen Santos had 16 assists.
Up Next: The Hornets will try and get one back in the win column this Friday, October 18th when they host Riverside City College in the South Gym. Game time is at 6:00 pm.
