Staring down the nose of a loaded Pirate squad, this Hornet team did not flinch last night at home as they gave Orange Coast a run for their money. Losing the first game 25-19, FC pushed back taking game two 25-20. OCC then hammered the Hornets in game three 25-16, but FC fought on winning game four 25-22. In the final game, the Pirates were too much overtaking Fullerton 15-10 to win the match.
Jordyn Hecker played strong hammering 22 kills with 17 digs while Laura Hartzheim dished out 55 assist, and 12 digs. Shawnna Chung and Erin Baxter had 11 kills each with Chung scooping up 22 digs. Celeste Snider played big accumulating 31 digs and 3 aces over the course of the match. Elena Mendrin also chipped in with 13 digs and 2 kills.
Up Next: FC (7-8, 3-5) has another tough challenge ahead when they host Golden West College this Friday, October 26th. Game time is at 6:00 pm.
