SKY-HIGH WIN OVER EL CAMINO

The Hornet men's volleyball team earned a strong division victory on Wednesday night defeating El Camino College 3-1 in front of the home crowd.

FC took control early and held off a third-set push from the Warriors to secure the win by set scores of 25-22, 25-17, 15-25, and 25-16.

With the victory, Fullerton improves to 7-6 overall and 3-2 in the Central's Northern Division, while El Camino drops to 4-9 overall and 1-4 in division play.

Fullerton's offense was led by Jasper Nadelson, who delivered a dominant performance with 11 kills with 8 blocks and 3 aces. Samuel Chavez added a strong outing with 7 kills, while Logan Busch chipped in 6 kills, 7 digs, 2 blocks and 2 aces.

Running the offense, setters Emiliano Razo and Yun Bae kept the attack flowing combining for 29 assists as Fullerton finished the match with 40 total kills.

Defensively, the Hornets controlled the net with 11 team blocks, disrupting the Warrior's attack throughout the night. Fullerton also showed strong back-row defense with 30 digs, highlighted by the libero duo of Oscar Venegas and Saman Bagheri, who helped keep rallies alive.

After winning the first two sets, Fullerton saw El Camino respond in the third set before the Hornets regrouped and delivered their most efficient offensive set of the match in the fourth, hitting .579 to close out the victory.

Up Next: The Hornets will return to action on Friday, March 13^th with the team traveling to Long Beach City College in another division matchup set for 6:00 pm.
