The Hornet women's water polo program continues its strong tradition of developing next-level talent as Sienna Bertsch signs with Pomona-Pitzer.
A freshman goalkeeper from Sunny Hills High, Bertsch made an immediate impact in the cage this past season appearing in all 32 games (93 quarters). She finished with 236 saves ranking her 7th in the FC record books for saves in a season. Bertsch had a 53.1% save percentage and helped Fullerton to 18 wins, while earning a 2nd Team spot on the All-Orange Empire Conference squad.
Bertsch now heads to one of the most successful programs in Division III women's water polo. Pomona-Pitzer brings a championship pedigree coming off a dominant four-peat National title-winning season in which the Sagehens posted a 25-10 overall record and a perfect 12-0 mark in SCIAC play.
"Sienna was one of my most reliable and toughest players this season. She has what it takes to play, and play well, at the four-year level. I'm really proud of her successes and look forward to watching her play at Pomona-Pitzer next season", Hornet head coach Gabriel Martinez.
Congrats Sienna!
Once a Hornet, Always a Hornet!
