Competing against several conference rivals, the Hornets showed depth across sprint, distance, and field events while finishing third overall with 49 team points.
Riverside City won the meet with 301 points, followed by Orange Coast (150), while Fullerton tied Saddleback for third place.
Leading the way for the Hornets was sophomore Jenna Krostag, who continued her impressive season in the sprints. Krostag captured first place in the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 25.38 seconds and followed that with a second-place finish in the 400 meters, clocking 57.59 seconds, another personal best. She narrowly missed the top spot in the 400 by a slim margin, but her performance highlighted a dominant day on the track.
The Hornets also received a strong effort in the 1500 meters from Brittany Rodriguez, who competed in the event for the first time in her collegiate career and placed second overall with a time of 5:09.41 an impressive debut that demonstrated FC's growing depth in distance events.
Fullerton's sprint group contributed several solid performances in the 100 meters that was led by Shiann Rivans, who placed fourth with a personal-best time of 14.05 seconds. Kaitlyn Vasquez finished eighth in 14.66, while Jocelyn Colin took 13th in 16.06 with all three athletes posting personal-best marks.
In the 200 meters, Rivans added another strong showing with a ninth-place finish (29.99) followed closely by Vasquez in 11th (30.92) and Colin in 16th (34.88).
The Hornets' field event athletes also showed continued improvement throughout the meet. Olivia Yturriaga delivered a strong all-around day, recording a personal best of 9.45 meters in the shot put to place ninth while also finishing seventh in the discus (29.75 meters). Yturriaga added a third-place finish in the javelin with a personal-best throw of 28.09 meters, highlighting one of the team's top field performances.
In the javelin, Edie Pfefferkorn competed in the event for the first time and impressed with a sixth-place throw of 22.34 meters, while Marylyn Glumace placed seventh with a mark of 16.68 meters.
Other field event performances included Marylyn Glumace finishing 10th in the discus with a throw of 24.40 meters, while additional improvement was noted throughout the throwing group as athletes continued to refine technique and gain experience.
Head coach and staff noted that several Hornets continue to make strides week-to-week, with multiple personal bests and athletes competing in new events for the first time. With better starts, stronger technique, and continued development across the roster, the team is showing steady progress as the conference season continues.
