Competing against El Camino College, Pasadena City, Bakersfield, and Saddleback, the Hornets finished third overall with 44 points, highlighted by standout sprint performances from Jenna Krostag and a productive day across the throws and distance events.
Krostag anchored the Hornets with a pair of wins capturing first place in both the 400 meters (57.64) and 200 meters (25.41). Both times marked personal records and currently pace the Orange Empire Conference underscoring her early-season form.
In the throws, Olivia Yturriaga put together one of the most complete performances of the meet. She placed second in the hammer throw (117'8"), second in the javelin (79'6"), and added a first-place finish in the discus (101'4") all while setting personal bests. Yturrriaga also contributed a third-place PR in the shot put (27'11") scoring in four events.
Astrid Morales continued to progress in the sprints, clocking a PR 1:06.97 to take fourth in the 400, while adding a 10th-place finish in the 200. Shiann Rivanis followed with seventh in the 200 (29.44) and eighth in the 100 (14.13).
Middle-distance runner Brittany Rodriguez delivered a strong double earning second place in the 800 meters (2:28.02 PR) and second in the 3,000 meters (12:16.39). In the field, Marylyn Glumace secured third in the javelin (61'0") and added a sixth-place discus finish, while Jaelyn Glumace placed fourth in the javelin.
Several Hornets were competing in events for the first time at the collegiate level gaining key experience as the season continues.
