WOMEN'S TENNIS: TOPPING CYPRESS

In an Orange Empire Conference match, the Hornets welcomed Cypress College to the FC courts on Tuesday afternoon and derailed the Chargers 8-1.

In an Orange Empire Conference match, the Hornets welcomed Cypress College to the FC courts on Tuesday afternoon and topped the Chargers 8-1.

The FC double teams of Alexus Lombera / Ashley Castro (8-3), Savanna Schreiner-Vanhoutte / Janet Shiau (8-0), and Jeanelle Canal / Ashley Yanez (8-3) all defeated their opposing teams.

In singles-play victories were had by Alexus Lombera (6-3, 6-4), Ashley Castro (6-0, 6-0), Janet Shiau (6-1, 7-6, 4-10, 7-2),  Savanna Schreiner-Vanhoutte (6-0, 6-0), Jeanelle Canal (6-3, 6-0), and Jessica Valdespino (6-0, 5-7, 10-5).

Up Next: Fullerton (5-6 overall, 1-1 conference) travels to Saddleback College for another OEC matchup on Thursday, February 27th at 2:00 pm.
