The Hornet women's soccer team hosted Cerritos College for a non-conference match on Friday afternoon and finished in a 2-2 tie.
It did not take long for Fullerton to grab a 1-0 lead as Danielle Narmi drove the ball down the field hitting an unassisted shot in the first 13 seconds of the game.
Cerritos answered back with an unassisted shot by Samara Gonzalez in the 43rd minute, and both teams ended the first half all knotted up at one.
Amyhra Umar put the Hornets up 2-1 on a solo shot in the 79th minute, but nine minutes later the Falcon's Jenna Santos snuck in a late goal off an assist by Hypasha Garcia.
FC goalie Kyra Mangini had a very active day between the posts with 13 saves in 90 minutes of play.
Up Next: Taking this week off, Fullerton (0-4-2 overall) will host its Orange Conference opener Tuesday, October 1st when crosstown rival Cypress College comes town. Match time is at 3:00 pm.
