The FC women's soccer team played against Irvine Valley College at the OC Great Park on Friday holding the Lasers scoreless for a 2-0 conference win.
The Hornet victory bumps the team into a tie for third place in the Orange Empire Conference with a record of 2-1-1. The IVC loss holds the team in last place in the OEC with a winless record of 0-4.
FC got on the board in the 24th minute on a corner kick that was headed by Ashley Bautista. Lizeth Garcia was credited with the assist.
The second goal came in the 75 minute on a through ball by Megan Nickerson. The assist was courtesy of Sarah Ramberg.
Up Next: The Hornet (5-2-2 overall, 2-1-1 OEC) will host first place Santiago Canyon College (3-0-1) for a big OEC game on Tuesday, October 12th. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
