TOPPING THE TITANS

After dropping a close one to top-ranked Concordia 12-8, the Hornets bounced back on Saturday with a great 14-12 win over Cal State Fullerton on Saturday.

It was a close game from the start with the Hornets jumping ahead 3-1 in the first quarter, however the Titans made a big push in the second tying the game up 6-6 by the halftime break.

In the third quarter, Fullerton leapt ahead with a 6-4 run and held on in the fourth matching the Titans in scoring 2-2.

Reese Vickers led the way for the Hornets dropping in 6 goals with 2 assists. Brooklynn Peters had 4 goals and Robin Gaudette scored 2 with 4 assists. Robin also dominated the draw with 9. Julia Schlachter and Tianna Hehl both contributed a goal, while Madison Lewis and Kealia Amorin each had an assist. 

FC goalie Sienna Davis had 9 goals against and Kimberly Sperling filled in with 3 against.

Defensively, Victoria Lupotti and Brooklynn Peters led the ground game with 3 GBs each. Brooklynn and Delaney Crile led in controlled takeovers with 2 apiece.
