The Fullerton College women's golf team placed third overall on Wednesday at Cottonwood Golf Club in an Orange Empire Conference (OEC) event hosted by Cuyamaca College.
Freshman Paulina Sanchez delivered one of the day's top Hornet moments when she knocked down her first career birdie. Sanchez stuck her 5-iron shot from 152 yards out as the ball stopped just six feet of the pin before sinking the putt. It was truly a great finish that capped off her steady round to finish the day at 120.
Freshman Eunjin Chang continued to pace Fullerton with another consistent outing with round of 96 putting her season total at 292 leaderboard. Kat Rhee followed with a score of 106, while Diane Knott posted 113 on the day.
The Hornets' balanced play across the roster lifted them to a third-place team finish in a competitive OEC field.
Up Next: The Hornets will play again on Wednesday, October 8th at Mt. San Antonio College's El Prado Golf Course. Tee time is at 10:00 am.
