Two-year starter Jianna Lopez made it official signing with the College of Staten Island, where she will join Hornet teammate Milene Mendoza.
Two-year starter Jianna Lopez made it official signing with the College of Staten Island, where she will join Hornet teammate Milene Mendoza.
Playing third base for Fullerton the past two seasons, Lopez came in as a freshman in 2024 out of Newport Harbor High playing in 47 games with a .319 batting average. She racked up 36 hits, 21 runs, and 24 RBI helping the team to a state and conference title. The following year, Jianna played in 41 games and posted a .330 batting average. She had 14 runs and drove in 11 RBI on 32 hits helping push the Hornets to the Super Regionals.
Armed with a solid glove and a strong arm, Lopez will travel across the country to play for in the competitive Division II East Coast Conference (ECC). Jianna will also bring a solid bat to the Dolphins as she looks to make a difference on the upcoming 2026 season.
