HORNETS EARN ALL-OEC

Hornet Softballers Veronica Moore, Bethany Morrison, Juliana Ursino, Hope Morales, Grace Workman, and Jianna Lopez earned All-Orange Empire Conference honors as voted on by the coaches last week.

Sophomore sensation Veronica Moore was a 1st Team All-OEC selection leading the way with 44 RBI and counting. Last season, Moore tied the FC record for most RBI in a season with 46. She now owns the career RBI record of 90 after originally snapping the record of 78 last month (April 4th vs. Riverside). Veronica leads the conference in homeruns (7) and doubles (17).  She is third on the list in batting average at .427 and is tied for first with 53 hits. Moore is also the team co-leader with 28 runs.

A 1st Team All-OEC selection, Bethany Morrison lit it up for Fullerton in her first season. She batted .339, had 40 hits, 19 RBI, 27 runs, and 5 stolen bases. 

First-year players, Juliana Ursino, and Hope Morales earned 2nd Team All-OEC honors. Ursino batted .299, had 9 RBI, 14 runs, and had 9 stolen bases. Morales was the co-leader in runs scored with 28, had 37 hits, a .322 batting average, 17 RBI, and 4 stolen bases.

Earning Honorable Mention were Grace Workman and Jianna Lopez. A freshman pitcher, Workman has been a strong force for the Hornets in the circle making 36 appearances in 40 games this season. Throwing 181.2 innings, she had 63 Ks, 58 walks, and a 3.97 ERA. A sophomore infielder, Lopez is hitting .341 with 31 hits, 14 runs, 10 RBI, and 4 stolen bases.
