CASSIDY HORNUNG UNITES WITH UTAH TECH

Sophomore shortstop Cassidy Hornung will be attending and playing at Utah Tech this coming fall after signing with the Trailblazers.

Known for her positive attitude and bright smile, Hornung played in 43 games for the State Champion Hornets this past season working primarily at shortstop. She batted .313 with 16 runs, 8 RBI, 5 stolen bases, and had a fielding percentage of .935. She was an All-Orange Empire Conference "Honorable Mention" selection for her strong 2024 season. Her freshman season in 2023 saw Cassidy bat .278 in 44 games with 14 runs and 7 RBI. She also added 5 stolen bases and had a fielding percentage of .926. 

"Cass is a very special player and an extremely hard worker. She puts in the work and has a great attitude. Utah Tech is getting a great player as she is versatile and can play multiple positions.
