SOFTBALL: OEC MERCY WIN

The Hornets hosted Golden West College for an Orange Empire Conference match-up on Tuesday and enforced the mercy rule on the Rustlers 12-4 in five innings.

FC scored their first two runs in the first inning but then gave up for runs to GWC in the second.

Down 4-3 heading into the bottom of the fourth, the Hornet bats woke up scoring five unanswered runs. They added four more in the fifth to finish the game early for a much-needed conference win.

Starting pitcher Alyssa Felipe went 1.1 innings with 2 earned runs and 2 walks. Nicole Pratt thew 3.2 with 1 earned run against with a walk.
