RUNNING STRONG AT THE SOCAL PREVIEW IN SAN DIEGO

The FC men's cross country team turned in a solid performance at the SoCal Preview held this past Friday at NTC Park in San Diego competing among a deep field of 196 runners.

Leading the way for the Hornets was Zidane Ras, who clocked a personal record time of 21:13 to finish 17th overall. Close behind was Jonathan Mendoza, who continued his consistent season with a time of 21:16 earning 19th place. Both runners remain among the conference's elite currently ranked fourth and fifth overall in the Orange Empire Conference heading into the OEC Championships later this month.

Noe Valdivia ran a steady race recording a new personal best of 23:53 for 129th place, while Kole Gutierrez followed closely also setting a personal record at 24:49 for 149th place.

The Hornets continued improvement and strong finishes among the top 20 signal great momentum as they prepare for the upcoming conference championship meet.
