2-0 LOOKS PRETTY GOOD ON THE UPSTART HORNETS

The Hornets stay perfect on the young season after defeating Rio Hondo College 15-11 in a non-conference matchup Wednesday afternoon.

Fullerton improves to 2-0 on the season, which is the program's best start since the 2019 season.

FC came out fast scoring three goals in the opening quarter before pulling away with five more in the second to take control of the game. The Hornet's balanced attack proved too much for Rio Hondo (0-5 overall), who trailed throughout despite a strong offensive showing of their own.

Leading the charge for the Hornets was Christian Johnston, who had a game-high 4 goals while adding 5 steals and 3 exclusions drawn. Michael Rousselo was equally effective scoring 3 goals while dishing out an assist. Yony Bautista and Elijah Trinidad each tallied 2 goals apiece.

Defensively, Fullerton had 16 steals as a team, with Trinidad recording 4 and Johnston adding 3. Bishoy Salamia contributed with a steady all-around effort, finishing with a goal, 2 assists, and 2 steals.

In the cage, Isaac Roque earned the win with 7 saves against 18 shots, anchoring the Hornets in all four quarters.
