After a rough start to the season, the FC men's volleyball team has turned it around winning two straight matches over Grossmont (3-1) and Antelope Valley (3-0).

After a rough start to the season, the FC men's volleyball team has turned it around winning two straight matches over Grossmont (3-1) and Antelope Valley (3-0).
Last Friday, Fullerton hosted Grossmont College and handed the Griffins a 3-1 loss (25-18, 21-25, 25-18, 25-16). Garrett Geiger was instrumental in the Hornets success with 18 kills, 4 digs, and 2 aces. Asontae Owens and Miguel Cortez had 7 kills each. Owens added 8 digs to the stat sheet. Anthony Popoca tallied 11 digs, while James Valeanu chipped in with 32 assists.
On Wednesday night, the Hornets swept through visiting Antelope Valley College 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-20). Fullerton played with a relaxed-confidence that helped them elevate their game. Garrett Geiger played well hammering down 11 kills and 4 digs. Miguel Cortez brought down 7 kills, Anthony Popoca 5, and Asontae Lewis-Owens 4. Popoca led the team in digs with 10. James Valeanu had 23 assists and Noah Lourenco had 11.
Up Next: The Hornets (2-5 overall) will travel down to San Diego Miramar this Friday, February 22nd. Match time is at 6:00 pm.
