THADDEUS COMMITS TO CAL STATE SAN MARCOS

Sophomore speedster Thaddeus Justin Jones is moving on to the next level, officially committing to the Cal State San Marcos Track & Field team.

A two-sport athlete at Fullerton College, Jones balanced a rigorous academic schedule while playing for both the Hornet football and track programs.

Known for his speed and versatility, Jones contributed to Fullerton's football squad during the 2023 and 2024 seasons as a defensive back. Playing in 9 games in 2023, Jones had 12 tackles (3 assisted). Last season, Jones played in 7 games and had 11 tackles (4 assisted).

On track is where Jones grabbed the attention of the Cougar track and field coaching staff with his stride and explosive acceleration.

"Thaddeus is a special talent who can transition seamlessly between football and track. I am very happy for him and wish him the best of luck at Cal State San Marcos", said Hornet Head Coach Sean Sheil.
