MEN'S TRACK & FIELD: 3RD PLACE OEC FINISH

The Hornet men had some good all-around performances at Santa Ana College Friday scoring 66 team points to take 3^rd in the Orange Empire Conference Championships.

Xavion Steele had two 4^th place finishes in the 100m and 200m races, running 10.77 and 21.62 seconds. Steele also runs on the 4x100m and 4x400m relays. 

After taking 2^nd in the 10,000m race last week, Ian Rusk came back and took 2^nd again, this time at 5,000m, in a time of 15:42.

Nathan Wong had a big personal best in the triple jump, taking 3^rd place, jumping 44'3 1.4."

Andrew Fernando took 6^th place in the 1500m, taking the last automatic qualifier for the SoCal Regional.

Ryan Sheatz ran 2:00.27 in the 800m, and will move on to the Regional as an at-large athlete.

Up Next: The Hornets have 12 men who will be competing in the SoCal Regional Prelim at Riverside College, Saturday, May 4^th.
