2026 ITA RANKINGS
Hornets Earn National Recognition in Final ITA Rankings
The FC men and women's tennis teams closed out the 2026 season with several student-athletes earning recognition in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) 3C2A rankings.
On the women's side, sophomore Destiny Lopez finished the season ranked No. 44 in singles among the top 50 players in the ITA 3C2A rankings. Lopez was a steady force for the Hornets throughout the year consistently delivering strong performances in both conference and postseason competition earning spots in singles (Round 32) and doubles at the state tournament in Ojai last April.
Lopez also teamed with Amerie Johnson to earn a No. 43 national ranking in doubles placing the Fullerton duo among the top 50 doubles teams in the state. The pair showcased strong chemistry and resilience throughout the season helping lead the Hornets to the 3C2A state tournament with a Round 32 finish.
For the men's program, Brayden Toniolo earned a No. 51 national singles ranking among the top 75 players in the ITA 3C2A rankings. Toniolo put together an impressive campaign that included deep postseason runs and key victories against some of the state's top competition at the state tournament. Winning the first two rounds, Brayden finished in the top 32 in Ojai.
Toniolo was also recognized in doubles alongside partner Matt Doria. The duo finished the season ranked No. 27 nationally placing them among the top doubles teams in California after a strong run at Ojai making to Round 32.
