TOUGH HORNET WIN

The FC men's tennis team battled through a competitive home match last Friday afternoon edging Imperial Valley College 6-3 for a non-conference win.

Fullerton got it going early in doubles play as the duo of Matt Doria and Hassan Higgins delivered a strong 8-2 victory. Brayden Toniolo and Samora Wa Azaro also contributed in doubles helping the Hornets build early momentum heading into singles competition.

In singles action, Ben Koker was dominant cruising to a convincing 6-0, 6-0 win. Samora Wa Azaro followed suit, picking up another straight-set victory with a 6-0, 6-0 performance to secure a key point for Fullerton. Matt Doria showed grit in a hard-fought match, rallying after a first-set loss before ultimately falling in a tight super tiebreak 3-6, 6-2, 8-10.

Up Next: Fullerton (3-3 overall) returns to action at home on Tuesday, February 24th welcoming Stanton University to the Hornet courts for a 1:00 pm match.
