Fullerton earns back-to-back wins after locking down a 2-0 road-win at Santa Ana College last Friday.
The win lifts the Hornets to a 4-6-5 overall record and helps the team keep pace in the Orange Empire Conference standings at 3-2-3. With the loss, the Dons dropped to 1-8-6 overall with a 0-4-4 record in the OEC.
Fullerton struck first in the first half when Jacob Cortez found the back of the net in the 30th minute with the assist coming from Josiahs Palacios. The goal gave the Hornets a 1-0 advantage heading into the halftime break.
In the 69th minute, the Hornets added an insurance goal when David Suarez knocked in a well-placed finish set up by Dylan Aguayo.
Defensively, the Hornets were organized and disciplined from start to finish. Goalkeeper Steven Martinez posted another shutout performance (5) with 2 saves in 90 minutes.
