After blanking Saddleback College 3-0 on the road Tuesday, the Hornets now have Cypress in their crosshairs for this Friday night's White Out Game at home.
Tuesday's win at Saddleback created more space for FC at the top of the standings with a 6-0-1 record, but there is still one more undefeated team in Cypress with an OEC record of 3-0-4. This Friday night both the Hornets and Chargers will duke it out at Fullerton's Hal Sherbeck Field for control of the Orange Empire Conference.
The Hornets did not waste any time getting on the board against the Bobcats on Tuesday scoring a goal in just the 6th minute. It was Max Ron's assist to Pedro Delgado that gave Fullerton a 1-0 lead. Hayden Kenny then struck gold 5 minutes into the second half with the assist coming from Brandon Acevedo. The third and final goal came from Juan Luis Quintana's insane bicycle kick with the assist coming from Hayden Kenny.
Steven Martinez got the nod in the goalie box for FC and had 2 saves on the day. The shutout-win was the 7th on the season for Fullerton.
Up Next: The Hornets (10-3-2 overall, 6-0-1 OEC) will host Cypress College this Friday, October 25th for the White Out Game at 6:00 pm. Please wear white to support your Hornets for this big match.
