Bio

2017, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026 Orange Empire Conference Coach of the Year
2017, 2019, 2024, 2025, 2026 State (south) Coach of the Year

Coach Perry Webster has built Fullerton College Men’s Basketball into one of the premier junior college programs in the nation. Since taking over in 2015, Webster has delivered a level of sustained excellence that places him among the most accomplished coaches in California Community College history — and one of the most respected JUCO coaches anywhere in the country.

Webster owns a staggering 267-47 career record making him Fullerton College’s all‑time wins leader in men’s basketball. His postseason performance is equally elite with a 24-7 playoff record and a 14-3 State Tournament record, numbers that reflect a program built to win when it matters most.

Under his leadership, the Hornets have earned:

  • 3 California Community College State Championships (2019, 2023, 2026)
  • 2 State Runner‑Up finishes (2017, 2025)
  • 6 Final Four appearances (2017, 2019, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026)
  • 7 Orange Empire Conference Championships
  • 7 Orange Empire Conference Coach of the Year awards
  • Southern California Coach of the Year honors (2017, 2019, 2024, 2025, 2026)
  • Junior College National Coach of the Year Finalist (2024, 2025, 2026)

A nationally respected recruiter and developer of talent, Webster has coached:

  • 57 All‑Conference players
  • 3 Southern California Players of the Year (Ian Fox 2017, Lance Coleman 2019, Joe Grahovac 2025)
  • 7 Orange Empire Conference Players of the Year
  • 6 Orange Empire Conference Defensive Players of the Year
  • 1 Orange Empire Conference Offensive Player of the Year
  • 16 Division I players

Webster’s championship pedigree runs deeper than his head coaching success. He is the only person in California Community College history to win state championships in three different roles — as a player, an assistant coach, and a head coach. Also, he is one of four coaches all time to have 3 or more state championships as a head coach in California Community College history. Overall, Webster has five state championships.

As a high school player at Mission Viejo High School, Webster put together one of the most decorated careers in program history: a four‑year starter, CIF Southern Section champion as a freshman, four‑time All‑League selection, three‑time All‑CIF performer, three‑time team MVP, First‑Team All‑Orange County honoree, and South County Player of the Year. His impact was so significant that Mission Viejo retired his jersey in 2007.

After high school, Webster attended Saddleback College and immediately elevated the program, leading the Gauchos to the 2010 State Championship while earning First‑Team All‑Conference, First‑Team All‑State, and State Tournament MVP honors. His legacy was recognized early — he was inducted into the Saddleback Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012.

Webster continued his playing career at Cal State Fullerton, where he served as team captain, led the Big West Conference in assists, ranked among the Top 30 nationally in assist‑to‑turnover ratio, and earned the program’s Titan Hustle Award, selected by the Booster Club.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton and later completed a master’s degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration at Concordia University Irvine.

Webster is an active member on campus as he is a member of the Fullerton College Faculty Senate and has led student initiatives by securing grants through his service on the Fullerton College Student Equity committee. In 2024, Webster created the first ever scholarship for outgoing men’s basketball players by initiating and fundraising for the Edgar Clark Character of a Man Scholarship, named after all time Hornet legend Edgar Clark.

Webster and his wife, Stacey, have two sons: Vincent and Lucas. They also are the proud parents of two daughters Olivia and Emma.
