MEN'S BASKETBALL: BROKENBROUGH TO CAL STATE L.A.
FC basketball player Joel Brokenbrough signed with Cal State Los Angeles last week.
FC basketball player Joel Brokenbrough signed with Cal State Los Angeles last week and will now play for a former FC head coach.
Brokenbrough will play for former Hornet Head Coach Dieter Horton. Horton began his coaching career at Fullerton where he remained for ten seasons (1997-2006) before leaving for Antelope Valley College and later USC as an assistant. He was named the California Coach of the Year after leading the Hornets to a 37-0 record and a state championship in 2006.
A gifted athlete, Joel led the Hornets in scoring with 19.7 points per game, 2.2 assists per game, and 7.5 rebounds per game. Joel was also selected 1st Team All-Orange Empire Conference.
"I'm very happy to see Joel play for the Golden Eagles. He will do very well under Coach Horton's system", Head Coach Andre Smith.
