STARR SIGNS WITH CONCORDIA

Jake Starr will continue his academic and baseball career at Concordia University Irvine.

The sophomore outfielder put together an outstanding 2026 campaign helping lead the Hornets to a deep postseason run where the team finished in the Southern California Regional Finals.

Starr was one of FC's most consistent offensive threats leading the Hornets with a .381 batting average while appearing in 48 games. He also paced the team with 52 runs scored added 37 RBI and led the team with 16 stolen bases.

His stellar sophomore season earned him 2nd Team All-Orange Empire Conference honors. Starr was also the recipient of the Mike Sgobba Memorial Baseball Scholarship presented by the Fullerton College Athletic Department in recognition of his excellence on the field, in the classroom, and as a representative of the Hornets program.

The Golden Eagles are adding a high-character student-athlete who can hit for average, drive the ball with power, is sharp runner on the base paths, and make an impact on both sides of the game.

Concordia Irvine finished the 2026 season with a 31-25 overall record and advanced to the PacWest Conference Tournament championship game.
