VAZQUEZ TO OREGON STATE

Hornet shortstop Diego Vazquez has officially committed to Oregon State University!

A Bonita High School graduate, Vazquez wasted no time making an impact his freshman season playing in 46 games, while tallying 38 hits, 10 doubles, 2 home runs, 25 RBIs, and 34 runs scored.

A preseason All-American selection this season, Vazquez has opened his sophomore campaign on a tear hitting .368 through the first five games with two home runs, five RBIs, and five runs scored. His early-season production reflects both increased confidence and continued growth as a complete player.

Known for smooth glove and emerging power, Vazquez has quickly become one of the Hornet's most reliable contributors and a leader on the infield. His commitment to Oregon State places him in one of the nation's premier baseball programs, where his skill set and work ethic project well at the next level.
